Contrary to the popular but misinformed opinion of many who believe that God’s message is for them and only them, the Gospel of Christ—God’s Good News (Gospel) message about His redemption plan—is for everybody. Jesus the Christ’s atoning sacrifice makes it possible for God to offer every human being an eternal life with Him, which is the Gospel message that is communicated in many ways, but mostly through the preaching, teaching, and reading of His Word (the Holy Bible), as well as by engaging in two-way conversations with God—directly talking with Him through prayer.

Indeed, God speaks His Gospel message directly to individuals who have ears to hear His audible voice, or spiritual eyes to recognize His divine truth when they read His written Word, or a regenerated spirit that is influenced by His Holy Spirit’s leadings and promptings. God also speaks indirectly to people through preachers’ sermons; through Bible study instructors or Sunday school teachers’ explanations of biblical principles, parables, and other forms of God’s divine truth; through prophets’ prophetic or revelatory Word of knowledge (rhema word), through Gospel songs or Christian hymns, and so forth.

Even though God either directly or indirectly speaks His message to mankind, unfortunately, only genuine believers can receive both the confirmation (proof that it is God is speaking) and the illumination of any communicated Gospel message. Since illumination is one of the Holy Spirit’s primary responsibilities, He only can reveal the hidden mysteries that are in God’s Word to true believers in God, Christ, and the Holy Scriptures. Therefore, although God wants every human to hear His Gospel message, His Gospel message’s enlightened revelations are meant for believers and only believers. In Matthew 13:10-15, Jesus the Christ confirms this divine truth. Matthew writes:

His disciples came and asked him, ‘Why do you always tell stories when you talk to the people?’ Then he explained to them, ‘You have been permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others have not. To those who are open to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But to those who are not listening, even what they have will be taken away from them. That is why I tell these stories, because people see what I do, but they don’t really see. They hear what I say, but they don’t really hear, and they don’t understand. This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah, which says:You will hear my words, but you will not understand; you will see what I do, but you will not perceive its meaning. For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes–so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them. (New Living Translation)

Only genuine believers can receive the Holy Spirit’s illumination, because only their “hearts” (human spirits) are in harmony with the Holy Spirit. Their “hearts” are in harmony with God’s Holy Spirit, because He resides within them, and, therefore, He is able to saturate their spirits, souls, and bodies with spiritual wisdom, knowledge and understanding about God’s divine truth.

There is yet time for unsaved individuals to become genuine believers. As long as the blood runs warm in unsaved individuals, they will have a chance to receive a confirmation and illumination of God’s message concerning His perfect will and divine purpose for their lives. In John 3:14-21, Jesus the Christ teaches on God’s redemption plan, which is His communicated perfect will and divine purpose for mankind. Christ says:

And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so I, the Son of Man, must be lifted up on a pole, so that everyone who believes in me will have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it. There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants. (New Living Translation)

After hearing God’s Gospel message, like the one in the above Scriptural passage, unsaved individuals, by faith, will be given a chance to confess their sins, repent their sins, and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The people who are attentive to and receptive of the preached, taught, read, or sung Word of God are the ones who will become saturated with both the Holy Spirit and His enlightened revelations.

Are you ready to receive God’s message that, at this very moment, is for you and only you? Please don’t wait for tomorrow, for tomorrow could be too late for you.
