Abba!’ (that is, ‘Dear Father!’) ‘All things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me! Still, not what I want, but what you want.’ ~ Mark 14:36, CJB

To all the fathers I know, and to all the fathers I don’t know:

My Father’s Day prayer for every father is for Father God to shower down His blessings upon each father, not only on June 17th but also on every day of every father’s life. My prayer also is that Father God’s Holy Spirit would continue to guide every father so that each father truly would become an excellent role model, including becoming a father who closely resembles the ONE who is the original Selfless Giver of good gifts and the most Loving and Caring Father to all His children. That is why I additionally pray that the Holy Spirit would fill every father with Father God’s Grace and Patience so that each father is able to handle all of life’s situations in a loving way.

My gift to all the fathers I know, and to those fathers I don’t know, is the below linked YouTube video of one of my favorite tribute songs to fathers: “Color Him Father” by The Winstons. I dedicate this song to those fathers who sacrificed their lives so that others might have freedom; to those fathers who became fathers to fatherless children, regardless of the reasons why those children found themselves fatherless (having no living father, or having no known or legally responsible father); to those fathers who while balancing the demands of marriage, children, and work joyfully and sincerely accepted their responsibility to make sacrifices for their children; to those fathers who, despite divorce, remained in all of their children’s lives; and to those fathers who continued to offer love and support to their grown children.

Classic Soul The Winstons – Color Him Father (1969)

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all of the fathers who have given their children not only life but also love, care, protection, support, affection, kindness, concern, encouragement, and guidance. I pray that all of these fathers will be shown love, kindness, respect, honor, affection, support, encouragement, and an attitude of gratitude on this Father’s Day, as well as every day of their lives. In Jesus’ name I pray and give thanks. Amen.
