Father, Son, Holy Spirit!
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Yes, it is because of The Trinity that we can be blessed and encouraged!
God bless you, Francine.
There are not three gods, but three manifestations of the one God; Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Ghost in the church today! Praise God!
Paulette
Correct Paulette. The word Trinity refers to the Godhead, which means ONE God in three persons, or three in ONE. Thus, there is but ONE God with three distinct functions (three distinct manifestations). However, I do not see the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) as being in the “church,” but rather I understand Him to be inside every born again and saved human being (the Body of Christ), which makes everyone the Holy Spirit lives in and infills a new Temple of God! If He is inside of any “church” (building), then it is because of those individuals who congregate in any “church” (building) who have Him inside of them. In other words, they brought Him with them!
Christ never called the Body of Christ a “church.” He called His believers His ekklesia, and despite the English translations of this Greek word, in none of the definitions for “church” does ekklesia mean “church.”
Concerning the Trinity and the Body of Christ, the apostle Paul writes:
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as when you were called you were called to one hope. And there is one Lord, one trust, one immersion, and one God, the Father of all, who rules over all, works through all and is in all.” ~ Ephesians 4:4-6, CJB
Amen, Rev. Nadine. I definitely agree with you, that the Holy Ghost is not in a “building,” unless a person who is filled with the Holy Ghost, is inside said building. “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” I Corinthians 6:19 I recognize the fact that the body of Christ, the saints of God, are the temples of the Holy Ghost. My reference to the Holy Ghost in “the church,” was definitely pertaining to the individuals inside the buildings we call “church,” who have been filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, according to the scriptures, and not the actual building.
Paulette
Amen! Amen!
