weary wanderer, wondering
God uphold me . . .
lift me above the tempter’s
web spun to ensnare,
to prohibit progress, to halt me in my tracks,
to pull me
spiraling, downward; pit-of-Hell descent;
sinking sand? . . . .
equivocal eyes, envisioning
Holy Spirit, Comforter . . .
removing doubt; making ordered steps clearer;
Lifter of my head,
upraises me, keeps me safe in His loving Arms,
through every season, verdant or arid;
life’s cycles! . . . .
footsteps trudging sand,
Savior’s prints—never mine . . .
renewing His Strength, confirming His Faith in me,
affecting my reliance upon
God interventions in storms; then
turns me around, places my feet on
solid ground! . . . .

and likewise in the desert, where you saw how Adonai your God carried you, like a man carries his child, along the entire way you traveled until you arrived at this place. ~ Deuteronomy 1:31, CJB
Till your old age I will be the same —
I will carry you until your hair is white.
I have made you, and I will bear you;
yes, I will carry and save you. ~ Isaiah 46:4, CJB
