In the secular world, there are several meanings for the phrase ‘gone fishing.’ However, for the unequivocally devoted to spreading God’s Kingdom on Earth believers, ‘gone fishing’ means leading/bringing lost souls to Christ Jesus—being fishers of women and men’s souls. These believers are neither distracted by difficult situations or conditions nor troubled by the “catch.”

Whenever we are serving others, we are to act the Way Jesus the Christ would. Whenever we are discipling others, we are to teach the Truth Jesus the Christ taught. Whether living alone, hanging out with family and friends, or witnessing in the midst of known and unknown people in any one of the world’s countless communities, we are to demonstrate the Life Jesus the Christ lived.
When we have genuine Faith in Father God, we won’t act like human beings are in control of the circumstances, letdowns, struggles, setbacks, washouts, and so on, that come our way. When we have genuine Faith in Father God, we won’t be afraid to show happiness when we are happy, and sadness when we are sad, and etc. Lastly, when we have genuine Faith in Father God, we know how to take things as they come—we know how to be truly “content” (to no longer be disturbed or disquieted by anything that happens to us in this world, because we faithfully trust in the finished work of Christ Jesus). As a result, we will have no need to be plastic Christians on the road to becoming problem children with disruptive, ungodly behaviors.
