Apple Blossom Flower

I think that I already have mentioned that I started composing Haiku verses for the first time around mid-September 2014. At that time, the images in those created verses just seemed to flow out of me. Needless to say, I quickly fell in love with the Haiku poetic structure. As a result of how easily I was able to compose Haiku verses and how deeply I had fallen in love with the Haiku poetic structure, if God wills, I want to publish a book of my Haiku verses, hopefully in 2015. At present, I would like the title that future book to be Perfect Peace.

To date, my Perfect Peace manuscript has 430 Haiku verses in it. Also right now, my Perfect Peace manuscript has the following chapters: Back In The Day (snapshots of my childhood experiences); Fantastic Voyage (expressions of spiritual truths); Only Human (sketches of the five senses); Separate BUT NOT Equal (social justice hiccups); Perfect Peace (humorous and thought-provoking imageries depicting the beauties of nature’s seasons, animals, flowers, and etc.); Bug Life (colorful and comical mental pictures of insects); and Stringing Haikus and Haiku Threading (two chapters of detailed related and/or slightly dissimilar montages that are linked together by the last word in a previous verse, which is used to begin the following verse).

After I started composing Haiku verses in mid-September, I decided to blog a few of them—those Haiku verses that I plan on keeping in my future book. In this blog posting is another shared Haiku verse, which I also have included in the above illustrated graphic.

Those are apple blossom flowers in the graphic, and apple blossom flowers are said to symbolize the heart’s pleasures and delights, as well as signify good fortune and/or better things to come. Additionally, apple blossom flowers allegedly transform moods and lift spirits. The most interesting claim is that the pink apple blossoms ostensibly inspire courage, action, motion, and passion!

Here is the Haiku verse that has been illustrated in my above graphic:

•Withered leaves of fear
deepen mind and heart’s union –
blossoming New Year.

How well God must like you—
you don’t hang out at Sin Saloon,
you don’t slink along Dead-End Road,
you don’t go to Smart-Mouth College.
Instead you thrill to GOD’s Word,
you chew on Scripture day and night.
You’re a tree replanted in Eden,
   bearing fresh fruit every month,
Never dropping a leaf,
always in blossom. ~ Psalm 1:1-3, MSG

For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment. ~ 2 Timothy 1:7, HCSB

…The Tree of Life was planted on each side of the River, producing twelve kinds of fruit, a ripe fruit each month. The leaves of the Tree are for healing the nations. ~ Revelation 22:2, MSG

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015!!!!!!
