Now if the ministry of death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at the face of Moses because of its fleeting glory, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry of righteousness! Indeed, what was once glorious has no glory now in comparison to the glory that surpasses it. For if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which endures!

Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at the end of what was fading away.

But their minds were closed. For to this day, the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed. And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. ~ 2 Corinthians 3:7-18, Berean Study Bible

For those of you who may not know me, I have never really been someone who likes to promote herself. Actually, it makes me uncomfortable just mentioning that I published some books, which is why I didn’t promote my previous books.

When I told Avis Ward—my beautiful sister in Christ—that I was thinking about starting an author page on Facebook for My Spirit’s Musings (2017) and my other books, she immediately went to work creating the majority of the graphics, the banner, and the trailer that are on my Facebook author page. Her infectious interest in helping me promote my books sweetly compelled me to follow through with my plan to create the page I primarily would use for promoting my latest book.

On January 9th, I published my third book—My Spirit’s Musings (2017)—which is my second collection of poetry. The poems in My Spirit’s Musings emphasize the importance of living a life that reflects godly characteristics or the image of God. Essentially, my poems describe God’s image or His characteristics as holy and righteous living—true Christlikeness in action.

The following video is the book trailer for My Spirit’s Musings:

Special thanks to my sister in Christ, Avis Ward—the creator of my book’s trailer. She really makes my book look interesting.

Serious Matter:
kindness never random act –
service to mankind.

While I was thinking, just four days ago, that Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated Founders’ Day would soon be here, the above haiku poem dropped into my spirit. That evening, I also created the above graphic in honor of today’s momentous event.

As a Soror (a member since 1984), it gives me great pleasure to honor my sixteen beloved visionary founders and servant leaders of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Since 1908, January 15 continues to be an immensely important day—the reason today why Sorors all over this world are celebrating 109 years of sisterhood and service to all mankind.

HAPPY FOUNDERS’ DAY to all my Sorors . . . . .

For you were called to freedom, …only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. ~ Galatians 5:13, NASB

“I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing. Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure on their land. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them. They will no longer be a prey to the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not devour them; but they will live securely, and no one will make them afraid. I will establish for them a renowned planting place, and they will not again be victims of famine in the land, and they will not endure the insults of the nations anymore. Then they will know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people,” declares the Lord GOD. “As for you, My sheep, the sheep of My pasture, you are men, and I am your God,” declares the Lord GOD. ~ Ezekiel 34:25-31, NASB

May every person who is a redeemed, born again, saved, justified, and being sanctified believer in Christ shine the Light of Christ throughout this New Year.

May Father God richly bless each child of God in 2017 with love, peace, hope, joy, happiness, good health, and spiritual prosperity—the supernatural fullness of Christ, His only begotten Son.  Shalom!

NOTE: The haiku poem in the above illustrated Blessings Showers Haiku was created this morning (January 2, 2017). Additionally, the painting used in my illustrated haiku is Rain Walk by Yelena Sidorova.
