Yanked Asunder

Sadly, some married professed believers in Christ fail to grasp the enormous tragedy they participate in when they allow life’s sooner-or-later difficulties to tear asunder (break in two) their marriages. The two eternal souls that were one are what gets severed (divided), which means these torn asunder souls will eternally remain divided. Selah!

I’m in love with you but
You’re not with me.
How sour regurgitated
Rejection tastes—that
Bitter pill I swallow each
Time your pushback
Agonizingly reminds me
Unsympathetic, unavailable,
Habitually unfaithful love is
Spiritually powerless to
Consider sanitizing sullied
Soul severed by State laws
Sovereign never sanctions.

Promises broken—spoken
Fruitless assurances—just
Throwaway dime a dozen
Vows guaranteeing nothing.
They unkindly mired down
Shades of life’s inviting
Sounds of wedded bliss
The moment pledged love
Conceded to fears years of
Internal uprisings formed.
Upshot was crumpled couple’s
Fatality—union’s cryptic
Synchronization, two being one,
Ill-advisedly torn into two.

Solo soulmate’s lone pillow
Nightly bathed in waterlogged
Eyes drowning in shattered
Dreams’ vivid demoralizing
Manifestations of merciless acts
That yielded yanked asunder duo.
Tattered and scattered divorcée
Eternally outside marital borders—the
Modern exile without option to
Reinstate pledges and abolish
Dissolution’s disgrace, jilted love,
Lonely bed, and woebegone weeping.

Jesus answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” ~ Matthew 19:4-6, Berean Study Bible

A CRUMB FROM THE MASTER’S TABLE / “The Hierarchal Church of Christianity”

AMEN!

“Rediscovering YHVH'S Authentic Ekklesia"

WHO RUNS THE CHURCH

In 1 Corinthians 12:28 we find that God has “appointed” various assignments of operations within His Ekklesia. And in Ephesians 4:11 we see where Christ “gave” offices of operational ministries to His Ekklesia to equip the saints for works of ministry, to build up the body of Christ.

Nowhere in all of HOLY SCRIPTURE does Christ or GOD speak of the divine appointments or gifts as offices of hierarchy or chains of command where one Saint is superior to another or where one Saint is subordinate to another.

Neither does Christ or God speak of any appointments or gifts within The Ekklesia of GOD as having any particular prestige, status, honor or power above another.

The very notion of an ecclesiastical hierarchy in the Body of Christ is repugnant and opposes the teachings of the Messiah and the SPIRIT of YHVH.

Saints of GOD in Christ are not to behave…

Those Who Died in Christ

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words. ~ 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. NASB

During the evening of April 2, 2017, I learned that one of my mother’s younger sisters died earlier that same day. Even though I was truly saddened by the loss of another one of my mother’s siblings, I rejoice in her homegoing because she is now with the Lord.

Aunt Daisy was a loving sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Although she had her own children, during my early elementary years, she also was like a mother to me. My Aunt Daisy helped my mother and grandmother with my upbringing.

For the most part, Aunt Daisy was a quiet private person, just like so many of my grandmother and grandfather Wade’s children were. However, when she did reveal something personal, she always divulged something significant.

When I begin to think about how frequently so many of the family members I grew up with have gone home to be with the Lord, the Holy Spirit soon interrupts my thoughts with His reminder of how close we are to the time of our Lord’s return. Thus, because I know Aunt Daisy loved the Lord and now is safe in His arms—as are my mother, uncles, other aunts, cousins, grandparents, and great-grandparents—I happily dedicate the following poem, “We’ll Fly Away,” to my family, especially Aunt Daisy’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren:

We’ll Fly Away

Away with Christ we’ll one day fly
When clouds break and He appears
To raise the sleeping true worshippers,
Then catch up those like us—
Still serving Him in the land of the living.

What a glad moment that will be,
To soar on high free of bird or plane’s wings,
Then change in quicker than a blink
Into His promised glorified morally upright,
And enter Heaven to wed our Groom
Who’ll never abandon His own nor cause them pain.

~ from My Spirit’s Musings, Chapter 2, page 82

There is no doubt that, even though Aunt Daisy is with the Lord, she will be greatly missed by numerous family members and friends. I personally will miss her dearly.

Rest in peace Aunt Daisy . . . .

Press Release: Christlikeness Reminders in My Spirit’s Musings

My latest book of poetry—My Spirit’s Musings—reveals why reflecting God’s Image is the best way for believers in Christ to demonstrate their genuine Christlikeness. Below is the press release for My Spirit’s Musings, which highlights the main reason why today’s followers of Christ are failing to demonstrate Christlikeness.

Some verses that point out God’s call to Christlikeness are as follows:

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. ~ Romans 12:1-2, NASB

For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. ~ 1 Corinthians 2:16, NASB

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, ~ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, NASB

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; ~ Philippians 1:27, NASB

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, ~ Philippians 2:5, NASB

having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. ~ Colossians 2:7, NASB

Thank You, God, for calling us to Christlikeness. Thank You, Jesus, for showing us how we need to live so that we can reflect the Image of God.
