This Is Me…

Rev. Drayton-Keen . . . This Is Me!

I am a sold out for Jesus the Christ believer who does not practice a religion, because I do not see Christianity as a religion. For me, Christianity is about developing and enjoying my Father-daughter relationship with God, my sister-brother relationship with Jesus the Christ, and my sister-brother relationships with my fellow Body of Christ members. Furthermore, experience has taught me that only good and close Christian friends can sharpen (grow, mold, improve upon) each other’s character via constructive criticism and by studying the Word of God together.

Additionally, as a child in my Father God’s household of Faith, I am happy to say that in 2003 my Daddy elevated my status to that of a licensed and ordained minister. In that same year, He called me into full-time ministry and then sent me into the mission fields located throughout the United States.  From 2004 to 2006, my God sent me to the mission fields located in Japan, the Republic of Korea (South Korea), and the People’s Republic of China.  Then, in 2006, God sent me back to America to work in His vineyards.  Currently, I am working in God’s vineyards located throughout the USA.

Many years before I entered into full-time ministry, I served my country as a United States Air Force enlistee. While in the Air Force, I met the man who became my husband and the father of our two sons. Over time, I became the proud grandmother of four grandsons and one granddaughter.

Besides serving my country, my other very important career was in education. I studied English, Journalism, Communications, and African-American Literature. Right after I completed my MA degree work, God blessed me to teach in America for 10 years on the post-secondary level. I then left college/university teaching and taught 3 years on the secondary level. After I relocated to the southwestern part of America, I taught one more year on the secondary level, and three more years on the post-secondary level. Sandwiched in between these last two teaching opportunities were the positions I held in some very interesting businesses and industries.

On a more personal side, in my spare time, I love to listen to Contemporary Gospel music (especially the kind that moves me to dance like David danced), 60s & 70s Soul music, and Smooth Jazz music. Additionally, I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, singing mostly Gospel songs (even though I am not a Gospel singer), and writing about biblical principles, parables, and other forms of God’s Divine Truth.

Through my hard times and my good times, my God always has been there for me and with me. There is nothing that I have been through, that I am going through (or that I will go through) that I have been able to handle by myself.  Indeed, I have made it over (and always will make it over), because God has been, and continues to be, my bridge over troubled water. He also is my strong tower.  Truly, He is a very-present help in hard and in good times.  Praise the Lord!

  1. Thank you for your words. They are truly a gift. I hear your voice in the wilderness. For those people who resonate with your frequency, it can be the message that changes this moment … that becomes their day … that becomes their life.

God is love! There is no separation. It is through your words that I see the abundance of the ways that God shows himself to us. I trust that your words are the words that will resonate with thousands and hundreds of thousands of people. That is because your energy is their energy and they understand the resonance of your heart.

There are many MANY paths to God and it is not mine to judge any of them. My only responsibility is to love God and to love others. When I recognize that the spirit of God is within each of us and he has given us the power to resonate with other like minds, then I can trust that whatever is showing up for truth for me OR another is perfect. It may be a high frequency or it may be low. It’s not good or bad. It just is.

Now, let me explain that I may not agree in my heart with what they are saying and in truth they may have hidden their light under the bushel basket of fear, but they are there because they must walk through their own “valley of the shadow of death”. Who am I to judge their path? God put them on that path and they will walk it until they have removed their barriers to the light.

The greatest lessons I have learned have been through walking through my own ignorance of the light within me. This is the way that God brings us back to the path.

It is never a bad thing to be off target. An airplane on autopilot is always slightly off the direct path because of wind currents that push it and pull it in different directions. But the autopilot mechanism is self-correcting. It is important that we allow for the self-correction because the plane is not off course. It’s still on-course – it’s just taking the only route that it can take with the winds as they are.

My message here is that I trust God to bring to my life the lessons that are mine to learn today. It is through that trust that I learn to love everything and everyone that comes my way – whether the little me likes it or not. When I tap into my Higher Self – there is only love!

  8. I was deeply touched by your words and your story! My first loves you embrace and love so greatly! From a young age when my thoughts are of GOD, I always saw and felt their love, God the Father, Jesus, God the son, and God the Holy spirit! and I always felt and embraced their love, so I share that love to all whom I meet! Your love is evident in the spirit of your words and I could not turn away from your blog! My wife and I also served in the Air Force and have been married for thirty six years last month! When I see my wife, I see their love from the blessing of her love and and when it comes to them I see a great love that needs to be emphasized greatly worldwide. For in Christ, I found the greatest gift in my life, his grace, his love, and i try to deliver that same love each day! In a simple way through my poetry, and the poems for my wife I try to emphasize that two become one together in a heavenly triangle, below the heavenly threesome. God is the top of our triangle and us at the base corners, so that either way I see, I see the love and goodness of God, and that same goodness in my wife! You are a blessing my sister and I am glad I was directed your way….you have refreshed my spirit today! God bless you always! Your brother in Christ!

    • Greetings Wendell,

I thank God that His Holy Spirit led you to this blog. May God get all the Glory and praise! Thank You Jesus!

It is a blessing to meet new individuals who also have served their country, especially if they are Air Force veterans. Please tell your wife hello from me.

How gracious and loving God is, which today can be witnessed by the fact that He continually is connecting His children with one another in a world that is so utterly disconnected. For this reason, it always is so wonderful to bond with a fellow believer who feels as passionately as I do about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Right now, I am so overjoyed!

And the blessings just keep coming, as Father God has seen fit for fellow poets to bond, as well. My poetry for the last thirteen years of my life primarily deals with my love affair with Father God and Christ. Several of those poems are some of my blog entries. I hope you’ll get a chance to check them out. Of course, I look forward to reading your poetry!

Stay encouraged. Stay strong in the Lord. Stay blessed.

      Your sister in Christ,

      Nadine

    Professor Drayton Keen,

Hello from a sheep you found along time ago.

I apologize for turning my back on you, when you tried to teach me our fathers ways. I was caught up in the world i could not see what you were trying to teach. I see it now. I agree with you 100%, homosexuality is a sin and agreeing with it is a sin.

I have come along way and God has removed my worldly blindness, the holy spirit told me to find you and here i am contacting you.

I hope your love, forgiveness, and mercy can be used to accept me back in your life. God has forgiven my sins and every day i move a step closer to him.

I have so much to talk to you about. I hope to hear from you!

    Love,
    Shannen Reyes

    • Hello Shannen,

Glory to God! I am so amazed at how He gets people, myself included, to “see” His Truths.

Shannen I forgave you way back then. Therefore, I would love for you to be back in my life.

You probably already know that I am no longer on Facebook. God told me cancel that account, so I obeyed and moved on to other arenas.

      Take care. Stay encouraged.

      God bless,

      Nadine

P.S. I will e-mail you at your G-mail address, if that is okay with you.

  11. Hi Nadine, thank you for the follow.. The Lord is stirring my heart and I know He is wanting more from me and not to be a sleepytime intercessor… He is speaking and I am listening.. Have a blessed day!

    • Hello Mother Hen,

You are welcome. It was my pleasure to follow your blog.

How wonderful that you are hearing God. That is the first step to being obedient and faithful to what He is speaking into your life. Be a brave and a bold witness for Christ Jesus, realizing that God has got your back–and your spirit, your soul, and your entire body!

      Every blessing . . . . .

      Nadine

      • Thank you!!

      • Don’t mention it!

      • Thank you Nadine.. In 2010 my first blog was called Clothed in His Beauty at blogger. It was all new to me. I have made several attempts to start blogs of faith and inspiration and have always caved in due to discouragement. I appreciate your words. I am listening to songs right now sung by Paul Wilbur. Do you know of him. I love his song In His Presence and it really speaks to my heart. My husband had his shoulder opened up yesterday. They were going to do a revision to his implant but found some infection and so they put in something temporary that will release antibiotics until it clears it up. His name is Paul. (:

      • Mother Hen,

Some of the Bible’s most faithful also were frequently discouraged. I’m not saying that I am one of God’s most faithful, but I often have been discouraged, as well, especially where blogging is concerned. I have been discouraged by the number of people who follow my blog, by the number of people who like any one of my blog’s postings, by the number of comments any one of my blog’s postings receives, and by the number of visitors my blog receives.

However, when I see the number of total blog shares I have received (the number of postings shared on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Pinterest, Pocket, Tumblr, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon, Google+, and Print & PDF–share numbers that are in addition to the numbers shown inside the share buttons at the bottom of every blog posting), my discouragement turns into a BUT GOD praise moment! I said all that to say this: Don’t let any discouragement distract you from doing what God has given to you to do. God will be faithful to bless the work you are doing for Him, no matter if that work is small or great.

Concerning Paul Wilbur’s songs, he is not someone that I listen to, but I certainly will check out his songs, including the one you have mentioned. I love songs that speak to the heart!

I am so sorry to hear about Paul, your husband. I have prayed for him.

Take care. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

        Every blessing,

        Nadine
