Independence Day is an opportunity for those of us who are Christian Patriots to teach our children and grandchildren that our courageous godly Founding Fathers, in particular those who signed The Declaration of Independence, not only understood that Life, Liberty, and Happiness are God-given rights/desires, but also they knew that they would have to pay the greatest price—give up their lives—so that future generations of Americans would not be denied their God-given rights/desires of Life, Liberty, and Happiness.
Memorial Day weekend and Memorial Day are the days leading up to and including the holiday that most, if not all, Americans spend time remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. May we never forget that FREEDOM isn’t free!
In spite of the fact that God’s honored and celebrated First Fruits feast’s name has been renamed and its date has been redetermined, First Fruits is the ONLY day on which Christ Jesus arose from the grave! Thus, First Fruits Sunday remains biblically significant, regardless if Christ followers are calling it Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday, or if Jewish people are confirming that it ALWAYS falls on 16 Nisan!
Nowhere in the Word of God does God condemn birthdays as being sinful! Furthermore, just like a biblical harvest celebration in itself is NOT automatically sinful or wrong, the same is true about a birthday celebration.
I am so happy to see my 1,000+ blog share status, which is why I must take this time to thank every one of my family members, friends, and anonymous visitors who has shared one or some of my WordPress blog’s articles on Facebook, Digg, Reddit, Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter, StumbleUpon, LinkedIn, Pocket, Google+, or by E-mail, and/or by printing out articles, via Print & PDF, and sharing them that way. You each have made my day! Indeed, you each have made my year! I am extremely honored.
Thank you; thank you; thank you; thank you! I sincerely appreciate everyone’s love, kindness, and support. God bless!
When apostle Paul says, for instance, that he wants “…to testify to the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24b), he also definitely is saying that the Grace of God not only is interchangeable with the Gospel but also interchangeable with the Gospel of Grace, the Gospel of God or God’s Gospel, the Gospel of Christ, the Gospel of His Son, and the Gospel of Peace. Moreover, the apostle Paul seems to be suggesting throughout the New Testament that the Gospel of Grace looks like, sounds like, walks like, talks like, and lives like Christ Jesus, and that is because Christ Jesus is Grace personified!
During this year’s celebration of America’s 237th birthday, hopefully Americans will reminisce about that first 4th of July. On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress met in the Pennsylvania State House (now Independence Hall) in Philadelphia to sever the colonies’ ties to the British Crown, by approving The Declaration of Independence.
Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Sadly, many people have forgotten the history behind Memorial Day, and sadder still some individuals never knew its history.
Mother’s Day celebrates and honors mothers, motherhood, and maternal bonds. On this annual day, mothers receive some of the love and kindness they have given, and they receive plenty of genuine recognition and appreciation for all that they have done (and continue to do) for their loved ones.
