Dysfuntional Family

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV

Without a doubt, many Christian churches have dysfunctional believers in them. Unfortunately, these dysfunctional brothers and sisters in Christ tend to rely on their own wisdom, understanding and knowledge—those pit lovers that end up pushing dysfunctional believers into their pits of their own making. In fact, most of the time these dysfunctional believers never will see their own imminent fall from Grace coming. Yet there they are—way off the path that leads to righteousness and holiness.

That a fall from Grace is possible for people who have been in a local church for years is why it is unwise to put our trust in our own or in churchgoers’ wisdom, understanding and knowledge. That a fall from Grace is possible also is a major reason why it is unwise to put our trust in the world’s wisdom, understanding and knowledge. Only God can provide us with His Perfected Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge that will point our feet in the right direction so that we can escape life’s dreadful pitfalls.

God wants dysfunctional believers to know that He has a divinely healthy and functional Family that He wants them to fellowship with on a daily basis. God’s Family members are the cooperative, powerful, edifying, nurturing, and honorable friends of righteousness and holiness. These functional spiritual Family members are eager to help their fellow brothers and sisters improve every area in their lives where godly Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge need to be applied.

Since Godly Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge are closely related and well acquainted with each other’s characteristics, this truth is why God wants all believers in Christ not only to be intimately familiar with them but also to use them. God wants all dysfunctional believers to begin to function properly so that His Household of Faith only will have effective witnesses for Christ.

In order for all dysfunctional family members to become familiar with God’s divinely healthy and functional Family—the Bride of Christ—they first need to surrender to the Lord and to the Holy Spirit. Then they absolutely have to allow the Holy Spirit to baptize them. They need the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, because it helps all believers keep their spiritual eyes on the Omnipresent God; seek and apply His Holy Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge; trust in His Righteous Instructions; and discern where they can fellowship with others who are doing the same. Shalom.

Keep it real…Live it out…Watch it work!

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written,

‘He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.’

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! ~ 2 Corinthians 9:8-15, ESV

I am so very happy! My cup surely overflows with God’s Goodness and Mercy! Thank You God! To God be the Glory!

I’ve only been blogging for about 5 years, but I haven’t posted many entries—just 307, and that number includes this posting and a few of my own reblogged entries, as well as a few reblogged entries by other bloggers! Moreover, as many of my blog’s visitors also must have noticed, my own blog entries tend to be very long! The length of my blog’s postings no doubt is why I don’t post as frequently as many professional or long-time bloggers.

Be that as it may, even though I don’t have many blog postings, of which more than half of them have never been “liked” nor commented on by anyone other than me, my blog share status, as of today (December 30, 2013), still is over 1,000 shares! These 1,000+ shares happened in the last two years, more specifically mostly this year! Now, this blog share status to many bloggers might not be anything to shout about, but for me this number is absolutely AMAZING, especially since I only added all of the share buttons that now appear below each one of my blog entries about mid-2012. Thus, I am praising God for this incredible share status increase!

Furthermore, because I am so happy to see my 1,000+ blog share status, I also want to take this time to thank every one of my family members, friends, and anonymous visitors who has shared one or some of my WordPress blog’s articles on Facebook, Digg, Reddit, Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter, StumbleUpon, LinkedIn, Pocket, Google+, or by E-mail, and/or by printing out articles, via Print & PDF, and sharing them that way. You each have made my day! Indeed, you each have made my year! I am extremely honored.

May God continue to bless each one of you! Shalom . . . .

Some People & Sights from My Travels

Adonai is your guardian; at your right hand
Adonai provides you with shade —
the sun can’t strike you during the day
or even the moon at night.

Adonai will guard you against all harm;
he will guard your life.
Adonai will guard your coming and going
from now on and forever. ~ Psalm 121:5-8, CJB

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the below four collages must be worth at least eighty thousand words! No. I am not a photographer, but whenever I travel I still take plenty of pictures, which is why I recently started making photo collages.

What I am so thankful for the most, as far as my travels are concerned, is that no matter how long my trips were or how far away my travels took me, the one thing I always could count on was God’s traveling mercies. Whenever and wherever I have traveled, God’s traveling mercies certainly have kept me safe from every kind of serious injury, maltreatment, sickness, disease, and/or other danger (seen and unseen). His traveling mercies also have disallowed long delays in airports, air and ground traffic disasters or accidents,  and so forth.

Additionally, I am very thankful to God for the many places I have been to in this world. Some of my travels happened while I was serving my country in the United States Air Force. Other journeys have taken place while working on foreign and/or national mission fields. Still other excursions have been for pleasure and/or leisure. So far, the places I have loved visiting the most are China, South Korea, and Japan. More important, some people and sights from these three countries are in the below four collages.

The first collage consists of some of my Chinese co-laborers, friends, fellow tourists, and tourist attractions from the People’s Republic of China. Several pictures were taken in Beijing, Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China), and Foshan in the Guangdong province.

Some People & Sights from China

The second collage also consists of my Chinese co-laborers, friends, fellow tourists, me, and more tourist attractions from the People’s Republic of China. Several pictures were taken in Beijing, Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China), Macau (Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China), and Foshan in the Guangdong province.

More People & Sights from China

Collage number three consists of my South Korean co-laborers, friends, street venders, fellow tourists, me, and a few tourist attractions from the Republic of Korea (South Korea). Several pictures were taken in Seoul, Insadong, Itaewon, and Seosan.

Some People & Sights from South Korea

Last but not least, collage number four consists of my Japanese co-laborers, friends, me, and a few tourist attractions from Japan. Several pictures were taken in Osakasayama, Sakai, Namba, Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara.

Some People & Sights from Japan

The memories I have captured in all of the above collages, as depicted by the 20 single pictures per collage, I either took, had someone take for me, or someone else took some of the pictures and sent to me. Now, these pictures in no way have made a dent in the number of pictures that I have accumulated over the years; however, these pictures are some of my favorites. Enjoy!
