Paying attention to myself by presenting myself with some sweet birthday wishes isn’t what I normally do. However, because my body and soul need to feel happy and loved today, of all days, I decided to wish myself a happy birthday, hoping that I might want to celebrate my born day.
Whatever is certain. Whatever is meaningful. Whatever is beautiful. Whatever brings you joy. Whatever makes you happy. Whatever is best for you. Think about all of that throughout the remainder of your holiday.
Let us always be ready not only to rejoice with the folks who want us to celebrate with them but also be ready to care for the ones who need us to demonstrate compassion for them.
Colors absolutely do matter. Indeed, it is believed that our favorite colors reveal our personality—our character and our ways of behaving. However, when we are reborn, God reproduces His Character and Behavioral Traits in us. He progressively transforms us—via His Holy Spirit’s Sanctification Process—until we are Christlike, or the perfect blend of all colors!
Independence Day is an opportunity for those of us who are Christian Patriots to teach our children and grandchildren that our courageous godly Founding Fathers, in particular those who signed The Declaration of Independence, not only understood that Life, Liberty, and Happiness are God-given rights/desires, but also they knew that they would have to pay the greatest price—give up their lives—so that future generations of Americans would not be denied their God-given rights/desires of Life, Liberty, and Happiness.
Without a doubt, this spiritual poverty comes on people who are saved, and does so primarily because these believers have the wrong motives for receiving God’s blessings, specifically His financial and material blessings. Usually their motives are wrong, because these believers have not experienced very much spiritual growth! For the most part, many believers’ spiritual growth is hindered because of their ignorance about their own spiritual condition—their ignorance about their self-deception.
