There is more than one way to say LOVE. The Greeks had at least eight different ways to say love, and those eight words are as follows: Agápe, Éros, Ludus, Mania, Philautia, Philía, Pragma, and Storgē.
Love doesn’t get any nobler than agápe. There is no doubt that agápe is the highest kind of love there is. No other type of earthly love can come close to God’s unconditional, self-denying, long-suffering, kind, and supportive type of love.
Mother’s Day is a time for having warm thoughts and fond memories about your mother, who may or may not be alive. It also is a time for ALL mothers to continue to be (or seek to become) the kind of mother that their children will say is patient, encouraging, strong, generous, and the giver of unwavering love!
