Profound truth that is hard-hitting to most people, believers in Christ included, often isn’t readily accepted; that is because insightful, uncomfortable truths expose who people are—hypocrites. It’s amazing how that exposure can be achieved in just three lines.
The Black is Beautiful movement is about more than symbols of power and beauty—about more than African-Americans’ diverse complexions, facial features, hairstyles, and cultural consciousness in a multi-cultural society. Black is Beautiful, as a concept, is about how being beautiful is natural to African-Americans’ souls.
It is a shame that mankind, as a whole, still doesn’t see color the same way that the Godhead sees it. Because of people’s prejudices that are rooted in wrong thinking, myths and fairy tales, an inestimable number of people who discriminate against others, whether because of skin color, or for some other insane reasons, will miss out on experiencing the real richness of God’s multicolored nature (His spiritual covering) that adorns and fills every one of His Spirit reborn and adopted sons and daughters.
