I am sure that all parents expect their children to outlive them. I know I expected that, but God had a different plan for my oldest son. He just turned forty-five on Sunday, April 30th. On Tuesday evening, May 2nd, he went home to be with the Lord.
God not only promises us that He will love us unconditionally, but also He promises us that He will love us forever. His Love never is cold, never is preferential, never rejects us, and never leaves us. God’s Love never changes! We are to love one another in like manner.
Jesus the Christ makes it absolutely clear that the only RSVP response that will matter to God is that response which is an initial “yes” followed by a progressive inward change—a sanctified spirit/heart that is habitually sincere, repentant, humble, compassionate, loving, and obedient. These Christ-like characteristics are MUST!
